The mission of the Hong Kong Nephrology Group is to improve the standard of nephrology in Hong Kong.  The Group organizes regular scientific meetings with local and international speakers.

Dr Ho Chung Ping presented two cases of suspected multiple myeloma kidneys.  Dr Fernand Lai presented the pathological findings.  There was a discussion on the treatment options including the ‘high cut off’ dialysis.

Dr Fernand Lai is the consultant pathologist of the Pathology Unit of the Prince of Wales Hospital

Focal and segmental glomerulosclerois (FSGS) is a common cause of kidney failure. Dr Ho Chung Ping presented two cases of FSGS and discussed the different treatment strategies for this condition. Dr Ho Chung Ping was the chairman of the Hong Kong Nephrology Group and the medical director of the Integrated Dialysis Facilities (HK) Ltd

SHPT is an important complication in chronic renal failure. The Hong Kog Nephrology Group hosted a round table discussion on its management. The meeting was chaired by Professor Bruce Hendry. The colleagues from the public and private hospitals in Hong Kong and Malaysia took part in the discussion.
